The "Halloween Kit Swap"!!!
This month we will make up a "Halloween Kit" for our partners. Since Halloween is coming up next month I thought it migh tbe fun to put together a kit of Halloween items for our partners.
So here is what you will swap:
- A pattern for a small Halloween decoration or purse or bag
- Enough yarn for the project
- All the notions needed to complete the project
- Something orange or black
- Some Halloween goodies or candy
- A Halloween card [bought or handmade]
Let's get creative and give our partners a fun project that they can make for the upcoming holiday for themselve or as a gift. The stores are filled with Halloween goodies and so there are tons to choose from.

Kind of a stupid question but. . .in regards to notions, do we need to send them the knitting needles/crochet hooks or is it permissable to find out if they have these sizes already??
As far as notions, it is always nice to receive new ones, we all have tons of notions, but I alwyas like new ones for my projects then I can keep them bagged together with the hook, but you can ask if they need a hook or some of the notions if you like and your partner may not need a duplicate. It is up to you and your partner...always email her, it is not a secret pal swap so its ok to ask them. I hope that answers your question. And no question is a "stupid" one... :)
Question from me as well - when we contact our new secret pal - how do we keep ourselves a secret email from another email address?
This is not a secret pal swap, if you want to be a secret open up a gmail email address, the way to be sure it is secret is to be sure to fill in a made up name when it asks for your name like "SP" or "Secret Pal" then use another name or the same for your email[user] name. That way it will not id you, Gmail is free just got to gmail.com...I hope that helps...
